Introduction
Michigan Center for Skin Care Research is located in Macomb County, one of the fastest growing suburbs of Detroit, Michigan. The study subjects represent a heterogeneous population being drawn from Macomb Community College (with a student body numbering 24,000), Selfridge Air Force Base, local retirement communities, and active dermatological practices. Consequently, Skin Care Research has a large base of potential trial subjects with a wide demographic variety. Our recruitment strategies include: database mailings from both the research data base and general dermatology practices databases; traditional media of television, radio and print; in addition to social media – Craig’s List, Face Book & Twitter.
