Introduction
Our History and Services:
Started in 2007, Sitters4U catered to clients seeking babysitters, au pairs, drivers, night nurses and tutors in Cape Town. The service shortly expanded to cover Cape Town, Johannesburg and Pretoria. Sitters4U now caters to long term placement clients seeking au pair, tutor, night nursing assistance or occasional babysitting services.
Why did we start?
In 2007 the owner of Sitters4U was looking for someone to care for her children. She found at the time that there were few requirements and basically no safety standards for agencies or childcare assistants. She resolved to change this. Sitters4U started as a babysitting service but soon evolved to cover au pair placements, professional nanny placement, teacher, tutor and driver placement. We were the first agency to demand our candidates complete first aid and meet international standards for professional childcarers. We also insist that all of our candidates have their own vehicles and at least a year of professional childcare experience although most have 3 to 5 years of experience, range from 19 to 55 years of age and most have a tertiary education.

>Professionally screened candidates
>Pre-vetting for your requirements
>Interview setup
>Full house service including provision of documentation, contracts and advice.
>3 month free replacement period on placements
>Once off placement fee
Our Requirements For Staff:
>Experience and references: Candidates must ALL have at least 1 year’s child care experience with contactable references. Although, most have 3 to 10 years of experience or more.
>Vehicles: ALL of our candidates have their own vehicles and drivers licenses.
>Education: We require ALL staff to have a minimum of matric, however many have a University or a childcare related tertiary education.
>References: ALL candidates are reference checked.
>First Aid: We require (and we were the first agency in South Africa to demand that au pair staff complete their first aid that ALL candidates either have completed a SETA approved first aid course or that they sign up for a course when joining our team.
>Personality: We prefer working with candidates who are dedicated, organised, friendly, energetic, creative, patient, active and caring.
