Based in Lower Parkstone, Poole, Side By Side is your local, experienced home care service providing hourly domiciliary care to adults of all ages. Our aim is to offer a flexible, personalised service carried out by experienced, highly trained, personable staff.

As our company name suggests we provide a dual purpose service, which combines companionship and support along with household tasks such as housework, laundry, shopping and meal preparation.

Side by Side provide trained staff (who are CRB checked) to provide help and support to you or a family member. Our friendly and reliable staff will enable you and or a family member to carry on their daily lives without the worry.
Side By Side provide support with the following;

Elderly Care
These days, many elderly people often try and live independently for as long as they can; either on their own or with family members. No matter what their position, all too often situations arise and we need to be able to leave relatives knowing that they are safe, and in good hands. As much as we'd love to look after our family 24/7, there are times when this isn't always possible.
Whether you have a relative living with you or you are a full time carer and you need to take some time out to have your hair cut, do some shopping, meet up with friends, or perhaps attend a wedding, Side By Side will allow you to have the freedom without the worry. Alternatively, if you have an elderly relative living on their own and you want the reassurance of knowing someone will be popping in to make sure they're ok, Side By Side can assist.
After the initial contact, one of our office staff will visit to assess what is required and how Side By Side can fulfill your requirements. All of the client's needs will be discussed and any questions you may have will be answered. For example, if you have a wedding to go to and need one of our staff to help prepare a lunch time snack and an evening meal for your father while you are out, we can discuss; eating times; what food your father likes or dislikes; what time he normally requires lunch and dinner; any dietary requirements he may have.
These small but helpful tasks enable you to get on with your life knowing that everything is being taken care of.
We often find that our elderly clients are very capable of going out for meal or doing their own shopping, but just need a little assistance along the way. Side By Side are able to provide a companion to accompany them on their day-to-day excursions. Clients who use this part of our service say they still feel independent and have some control over their lives, but feel safe doing so with the support they receive from our carers.

Post Op Patients/Postnatal/Injured Patients
At some point in time, most people could do with a little extra help around the home. This maybe due to being post op, postnatal or perhaps having an injury that restricts what they are able to do. The care needed maybe only be a short term requirement, but the extra support will no doubt go a long way.
If you are post op, postnatal or are injured and need extra support around the home, our staff are fully trained to help.
What we are not able to help with

Unfortunately we are not able to administer drugs unless in a sealed, clearly labelled blister pack prepared for the patient by their pharmacist.

We are not able to provide any medical nursing.
