The partners at Sheesh Mangal have moved quickly to fill a void for quality Turkish food in the area, and from an opening in Christmas 2011 have forged a place in the hearts of lovers of fine cuisine.
Head Chef Gino is an inspirational find, with a wealth of experience in Belgium, France and London. Gino runs a highly professional kitchen producing succulent kebabs, tasty hot and cold mezes (starters), balik (fish) dishes and a range of grilled lamb, steak and poultry accompanied by tasty, colourful side dishes of vegetables, cheeses and sauces.
The Sheesh Mangal is a spacious restaurant with room for 75-80 diners and partners Brendan, Ben and Ismail work hard to ensure that however busy Sheesh Mangal is, there’s always room to relax and enjoy your experience.
‘We aim to give our guests more space to enjoy their meals’, said Ben. ‘All the food is freshly prepared in our restaurant and the traditional meze we serve is what our mothers would make back home in Turkey. We’re family friendly yet offer a relaxing time for grown-ups’.
