Often times people feel alone and overwhelmed when dealing with the multiple stressors that arise in everyday life. We cannot always foresee the obstacles we will have to face tomorrow. Whether we are trying to adjust to living our lives with a mental illness or we are struggling to cope with the loss of a loved one, often all we need is someone who can help us feel less alone when dealing with these issues. The purpose of therapy is to provide you with an empathetic, non-judgmental environment in which you can explore the difficulties you are facing. My role as a psychologist is to facilitate such an environment and to support you while together, we figure out how best to deal with your particular situation.Often the decision to start therapy is a difficult one and finding the right therapist can be quite daunting.
