Shangri-La Hotel, Toronto

The Shangri-La Hotel, Toronto is the first property of the leading luxury chain to bring distinctive Asian hospitality to Canada’s largest metropolis. The hotel, in the heart of Toronto, delivers the best of Asian traditions in an original, contemporary way.
Shangri-La Hotel, Toronto has received two accolades by the prestigious American magazine, Condé Nast Traveler’s “Hot List: Best New Hotels 2013” as well as being listed as having one of the “World’s most beautiful pools”. Inspired by the mythical land in the novel Lost Horizon, the name Shangri-La conveys the serenity for which its properties are famed worldwide. Since 1971, Shangri-La has encompassed the unique characteristics of Asian hospitality: respect, humility, courtesy, helpfulness and sincerity.
Guests entering the hotel are greeted with Asian touches. A giant sculpture from one of China's best-known contemporary artists, Zhang Huan, sets the stage memorably, as do the lobby’s huge calligraphy paintings. The 202 luxury guest rooms are among the largest in Canada and feature Asian-inspired decorations including raw-silk wall coverings and replicas of antique Chinese chairs. The Eastern theme extends to the hotel’s dining and leisure options. Guests can experience Bosk, the hotel’s signature restaurant with Asian-inspired touches; Momofuku restaurant and bar by famed New York chef David Chang; and the Lobby Lounge, which offers dim sum. The MirajHammam Spa brings the exotic traditions of the Middle East to Toronto with its authentic treatments.
