Meet Our Team (5)
Benn Longshaw
Head of Corporate Finance
If you want to discuss business acquisitions, disposals, funding or anything else of that ilk, Benn’s your man.
He has previously been involved in a number of deals in industries ranging from digital media, office supplies, travel and sport (check out the Deal Wall).
Benn enjoys a good family holiday but says it’s always good to get back to work after, we’re not sure if he’s just being nice though. He is a proud supporter of Stoke City (or ‘the Mighty Potters’, as he always refers to them), bravely claims he is married to an Olympian in the sport of Shopping and is a proud Dad to Freya. If Benn could rid the world of anything, it would be mushrooms.

Darrell Booth
Head of Tax
When it comes to tax, Darrell eats personal tax issues for breakfast, business tax issues for lunch, handles HMRC for dinner and will treat himself to dealing with a tax enquiry or two for dessert.
His history in the industry also reads like a ‘Who’s who’ of tax with previous stints at Neville Russell, Chadwick (both now Mazars), RSM Robson Rhodes, Wrigley Partington and even HMRC themselves.
Darrell is married to Anne with three children, all boys (including identical twins), as well as grandchildren. Darrell also holds legendary status in our office due to Anne’s home baking; every Monday he shows up with a new cake, every Monday we love him that little bit more. We’ll have the Rocky Road again please if you’re reading this, Darrell.

Lee Jones
Director of Business Services
If you have a problem, Lee has probably devised a spreadsheet to help you before you’ve finished your sentence. As well as being one of our partners, Lee is our go-to-guy for anything and everything. He is a terrible footballer though, so don’t ask him to play.
Lee’s expertise lies in working with companies that need hands-on management for either a period of rapid growth or a tough period of cash flow. He has held a number of Financial Director roles within various industries from football clubs to telecoms and, more recently, for companies trading in Europe, Scandinavia and the UK. He also gets a buzz out of helping businesses with strategic financial management involving cash flows, projections, management information and system implementation.
A bit of a petrol-head, if Lee was Prime Minister for the day (which he’s probably already created a spreadsheet for to map his election) the one law he would introduce is increasing the national speed limit from 70. Worryingly he didn’t say what he’d increase it to though. Lee is also a proud dad to two boys, Harry and Freddie, who he loves to spend time with.

Paul Cheetham-Karcz
Managing Director
Paul started Sedulo with a business partner in 2005 before going it alone in 2009 with the launch of Sedulo Group.
Although he is a qualified accountant, his skills are much more than just crunching numbers. His experience in building, buying and selling companies means he looks at businesses through the eyes of an entrepreneur and sees the potential growth of a business throughout their entire lifetime.
He was also on the management team of Just Search Limited, before advising on its disposal in a deal worth £14m and was a board member of Online Group AB, a company listed on the NASDAQ OMX First North in Stockholm with a current market cap of around £70m. He is also the proud Chair of children’s respite charity, Once Upon A Smile.
Paul is rarely seen without his mobile phone attached to his face and cannot stand cold weather. His signature song is Mr Brightside which he insists on singing every time we go for a spot of karaoke. Every. Time.

Paul Lindfield
Director of Wealth Management
Paul heads up Sedulo Wealth Management and, in a nutshell, his role is to ensure you and your dependents are adequately provided for now and throughout your lifetime. His 16+ years of financial planning experience mean he is more than capable of developing workable, long-term financial plans for both personal clients and businesses. He also makes a mean lasagne.
He is a Manchester Utd season ticket holder and enjoys the ‘local rivalry’ with the blue half of our office. He also claims he looks like Kevin Costner but we’re thinking more along the lines of Jeremy Kyle.
Paul once made it through to the final interview stage of Blind Date but, whilst he thought his pre-decided responses were hilarious, our Cilla disagreed and he didn’t quite make the cut.
Paul is also one of the few people who can say they’ve stood up the Queen. Whilst studying for his Economics degree, he was given the opportunity to meet the Queen as a student ambassador; he maintains to this day that if Bentley’s had not had their £1 Red Stripe special offer the night before, we would have attended.
