4 people can be named on the account per deposit box, the main account holder and 3 additional account holders can all view the safe deposit box together or individually.

A safe deposit box, also called a safety deposit box or safe box, is an individually secured box that comes in different sizes and is either made of a strong rust proof metal or plastic, these safe deposit boxes are usually held in a safe deposit locker. Safe deposit facilities are used to store valuable possessions, such as precious metals, gemstones, family heirlooms, currency, marketable securities, important documents (e.g. wills, property deeds, business leases or birth certificates), personal photos, wedding videos, memory sticks, hard drives or computer data, that need protection from theft, fire, flood, tampering, or other perils.
In the United Kingdom, neither banks or the government insure the contents of a safe deposit box. An individual should purchase insurance for the safety deposit box in order to cover theft, fire, flooding, terrorist attacks and other natural disasters and catastrophes. Specialist insurance can be purchased covering all property in the box, including cash and important papers with no disclosure at the time of purchase through Safe Deposit Box Insurance.
Once a safety deposit box has been rented the renter pays the safety deposit facility or safe deposit bank a fee for the use of the box, the fee’s can vary depending on the size of the box. The safety deposit box can be opened only with presentation of individually assigned keys and the safe deposit centres own custodian key. Access to the vault was with a proper signature, and sometimes a code or pin number of some sort. However some newer safe deposit box facilities use bio-metric control security like fingerprint, facial recognition and even iris scanners instead of the older conventional security procedures that banks used to adapt.
