Sampan Chinese Restaurant

We booked a table for 6pm and ordered by 6.30pm. We were still waiting for our main course at 8.30pm. No apology. When we asked for the main course the staff were rude and ignored us and started slamming plates down. Other people were also kept waiting while the staff concentrated all their time on the take away side. Good food let down by dreadful, rude service. We've been here several times in the past, although not for the last few years. We will never go back.

Mediocre and disappointing! Smug staff plying you with alcohol to bump up bill! Food was very average for price! My local takeaway is better quality for 1/4 of the price! No wonder restaurant was empty! Really begrudged paying £165 for not even take away quality! With so much competition in beckenham for restaurants they are only surviving because there are no other Chinese! Really need to up their game!

A wonderful restuarant, service good, food tasty and generous portions. This is a really lovely place to eat and the sunday buffet is fresh. Definately worth a visit.

Excellent service and good food, have always had a consistently good experience for the last 7 years, the takeaway is not as quick as others in delivery. Overall, 5 stars for the restaurant visit.

Rotten restaurant. We ordered a chicken dish and got duck. Wait INSISTED that we ordered the duck. Any reasonable restaurant would have changed it without hesitation. Would not go back due to the smugness of these guys and poor service.
