Introduction
SPQR is a Northern California restaurant inspired by Italian cuisine and wine.
An acronym for Senatus Populesque Romanus, SPQR translates to 'The People and Senate of Romeâ? and was the emblem of the Roman Empire.
We strive for a balance in offering the highest quality of food, wine and service we can for each guest's experience in a relaxed, fun, and inviting atmosphere.
Executive Chef, Matthew Accarrino, prepares sophisticated, yet soulful, Italian cuisine using the best local ingredients, traditional and modern cooking techniques delivered in a relaxed and fun atmosphere.
Wine director/owner Shelley Lindgren's wine list features selections from all over Italy organized by the varietals grown across the ancient Roman roads, with an emphasis on smaller, lesser-known producers. The wine list includes three-ounce tastings, glasses, half carafes and full bottles, allowing guests to mix and match wine options to complement the menu. Saluti!
