Introduction
SOS Electrical & Communications is based at Walkerston, 15 minutes west of Mackay on the Dutton Street (Peak Downs Hwy).
We have electricians, data technicians, radio communications technicians, refrigeration technicians and Electrical Labour Hire (for long term work and large projects).
We specialise in Industrial, Commercial and Mining applications.
ELECTRICAL:
Most of our electricians have their Standard 11 (or equivalent) and are inducted at a number of mine sites throughout the Bowen Basin.
Our electrical team are able to provide electrical engineering design as well as provide the electrical skills required.
SOS manufactures Dragline Lights that have been used throughout the Bowen Basin for over 10 years. Dragline lights generally last between 6 - 12 months before they need an overhaul - our lights have been known to last for 3 years before requiring attention.
RADIO COMMUNICATIONS:
From providing Radios (Tait, GME, Motorola) to designing and implementing mine wide radio communications infrastructure our radio technicians are fully conversant with all radio technologies.
DATA:
Our Data Technicians are fully conversant with Copper, Fibre & Wireless Data systems. We have all the equipment necessary for Copper & Fibre implementations including Fibre Splicing.
REFRIGERATION:
Our refrigeration technicians can support anything from domestic air conditioning to commercial cold room installation and maintenance.
