Introduction
Elegantly nestled amidst a historic mixed broadleaf and conifer woodland, our Fineshade bike shop is the newest of our stores and is entering its third year.
We are a buzzing Forestry Commission Trail Centre with something for both the family and the more experienced rider. In store we have the best brands for bikes, clothing, parts and accessories. Outside, you can explore acres of beautiful ancient woodlands with the opportunity of seeing some incredible wildlife including one of many red kites, in their adopted habitat.
We have a thriving cycle hire offering at our Fineshade store that works in tandem (no pun intended) with the new trails that we are constantly developing with the Forestry Commission.
Just outside the store is a quaint cafe serving an excellent selection of cake, coffees and sandwiches; perfect to recharge after a day in the saddle.
We have a number of different cycling routes available including:-
Beginner: a family cycle route that features 8km of green woodland trail and is suitable for all abilities.
Intermediate: A series of skills loops suited perfectly to keen youngsters and newcomers to the MTB scene.
Intermediate-Advanced: Renowned Wakerley Blue Route - 5km of singletrack thrills. Please call ahead to check track conditions.
Also in store, we have a fantastic workshop that is staffed by Cytech accredited mechanics and an active rides and events calendar.
It's fair to say that if you come down to the woods today you're in for a super ride!
