Introduction
When we opened five years ago, British food was no where near as celebrated as it is today. Indeed, some people thought we were mad to propose an upscale restaurant dedicated to traditional British cooking using seasonal produce ' but happily they were wrong and our diners have proven that we love those old fashioned dishes that in our busy lives we no longer have time to prepare for ourselves.
We are always on the hunt for new dishes and ingredients to excite you with and we regularly visit farms, vineyards and producers across the UK to see what else we can add into the Roast mix. Being based in Borough Market gives us a uniquely privileged relationship with the stallholders who also help us get the pick of the crop.
We source ethically as well as seasonally and from sustainable routes. As a socially responsible business, we share the success that you have kindly given us with those less fortunate than ourselves. It adds an extra element of pride in what we do.
