The Rio Rita Cafe y Cantina is located at 1308 East 6th Street in beautiful Austin, Texas. We are 4 blocks east of I-35, between Navasota and Attayac on Sixth Street. Look for our sign!

Established in 2007
As we understand it, Rio Rita began in the 1950's as a family-owned taco house. Over the years and owners, it became more of a beer joint, catering to a hard-working pool cue crowd. It had a reputation as a tough place for quite a while. Donya and Randall took over in 2007, falling in love with the building, its sign, its neighborhood, and its history, and have tried to make Rio Rita again an asset to the community by bringing people together in a relaxed homey atmosphere.
