Introduction
Eat with a worldview.
RICE is a healthy and completely original restaurant featuring rices and entrees from around the world. Since its start in 1995, popular demand has helped RICE grow to four Zagat-rated takeout and eat-in locations in Manhattan and Brooklyn.
Inspired by world cuisines, RICE offers eclectic, healthy fare of exceptional value, brimming with carefully chosen and often unexpected ingredients. The award-winning, unique menu created by owner David Selig includes Asian, European, African, South American, Indian and Caribbean dishes as well as special drinks and desserts. RICE's various menus are offered for brunch, lunch and dinner; RICE also offers a variety of styles and menus for catered occasions.
A rainbow of exotic rices ' black, white, brown, red, green and sticky ' complement RICE's well flavored dishes. The result is light, lean, fresh and always pleasing, perfect for vegetarians and anyone watching wheat or dairy intake.
RICE is committed to three closely intertwined goals: healthy, inspired eating, care for its neighbors and customers, and protecting the environment.
The cool vibe and friendly, attentive staff have made RICE a downtown favorite. So relax and enjoy the world ' one grain at a time
