Red Hot World Buffet Cardiff

On Saturday 4th May I booked a table at 2:00pm for me and my wife. The female "receptionist" at the entrance door was totally dismissive and simply pointed to the doorway - she did not utter a single word! On entering the restaurant we were confronted with the atmosphere of a stag/hen party. The booking co-ordinator in the "restaurant" had no pre-printed booking list and obviously had no interest as to whether or not I had a booking. Despite a number of requests on my part as to when the booked table would be available I was stonewalled and basically ignored. I emphasized to the booking co-ordinator and an attendant Assistant Manager that my wife was a Parkinsons sufferer and the booking of a table at a specific time was of paramount importance in ensuring an enjoyable lunch experience. THIS DID NOT OCCUR. I requested a seat for my wife and even this WAS IGNORED. We waited for over 20 minutes and witnessed a significant number of customers being escorted to tables although they had entered the "restaurant" subsequent to our 2.00 p.m booking time
I made one final request/plea to the booking co-ordinator for a table and once again I was virtually ignored. At this point I informed the Assistant Manager that due to my wife's condition we were unable to wait any longer. The reply was a shrug of the shoulders and an indication by his rm/finger of the exit door, although my wife was, by this time, in quite a distressed state, I sincerely regret not noting the name of this person in the lauded position of Assistant Manger but I can assure him that I will visit the "restaurant" ,identify him and register an official complaint to not only the company but also to Trading Standards.
I have worked in customer service for many years and the experience in this establishment has horrified me.
WHAT AN ABSOLUTELY NEGATIVE ADVERTISEMENT FOR OUR CAPITAL CITY.
Appalling service, total disregard for customers and a "pile them high sell them cheap " attitude.
PLEASE AVOID THIS ESTABLISHMENT UNLESS YOU DO NOT MIND BEING TREATED AS A "NUMBER"!!!!

I booked a table for 2:00pm on a Saturday for my family. I specifically booked a table as my mother has Parkinsons and cannot be kept standing around for long periods of time. We arrived ontime to a less than warm reception and were told to check in with the person inside. A woman with a clipboard wrote down our names, they didn't even have details of our reservation, and told us to wait by the bar. The bar was full of under 16s who behaved but it did not seem right for them to be around the bar area. After 20mins of waiting my mother was finding it difficult to stand any longer so I asked the woman with the clipboard why we were waiting as we had made a reservation and was told to wait again. I even explained that my mother had Parkinsons and asked to be seated as soon as possible which made no difference whatsoever. I told her that we would not be waiting for a table and had decided to leave, which made her very happy as she informed her manager that a spare spot had become avialable.

I can't comment on the food as we didn't get near it.

Quite simply the Red Hot World Buffet has the atmosphere of a cattle market and the customer service is like a bolt gun.

i dont like food quality, i feel smell in lamb or beef dishes,
deserts is good but over all its crap

It was the best buffet I have been to, been to Tiffins and Cosmo's a lot of times, and wow, it was amazing. I would say it's the best on I have been to.

The food was gorgeous. There is a great range. All food was hot and well presented and was very impressive& tasted lovely.
