Introduction
The ReBuilding Center is a nonprofit organization with the mission to inspire people to value and discover existing resources to strengthen the social and environmental vitality of community. With eight tons of materials moving through the store on North Mississippi Avenue each day, the ReBuilding Center carries the region's largest volume of used building materials, which are either donated by community members or salvaged by our DeConstruction crews (as an alternative to demolition). Rather than go to the landfill, these materials are sold back to the community for reuse at 40-90% below market value. All proceeds then fund our Community Outreach and ReFind Education Programs to build community through reuse.
