RAKA Wine

This wine was named after Raka, the beloved fishing boat of Piet Dreyer, proprietor of Raka wines. For more than three decades Piet has plied the seas of the southern ocean in search of the finest catch. The same passion has found home at Raka, where the Dreyer family now pursue the earth's bountry for the creation of fine wines.
With the rich blessing of earth and elements, the help of a dedicated workforce, the enthusiasm of winemaker Josef Dreyer and the advantages of a modern gravity flow cellar, Piet Dreyer produces his award-winning Raka wines.

We are open weekdays from 9-5 Saturdays/Public Holidays from 10-2:30 and closed on Sunday, Good Friday and Christmas day.
We do offer tastings and have a selection of 6 wines on tasting free of charge. The 6 wines on tasting are Raka Sauvignon Blanc, Raka Shannonea, Raka Chenin Blanc, Raka Spliced, Raka Quinary and Raka Biography.
If you like to taste any of our other wine we charge a tasting fee of R15 per wine per person.

Directions
Raka is nestled in the Kleinrivier Valley 17km out of Stanford and approximately one and a half hours from central Cape Town. Via Caledon: From Cape Town take the N2 to Caledon. Take the Caledon-Bredasdorp road (R316) towards Bredasdorp. After 29km turn right onto the R326 towards Stanford. At exactly 6km from the intersection, Raka is on your left. Via Hermanus: Take the R43 from Hermanus to Stanford. At Stanford turn left onto the R326 towards Riviersonderend. After 17km, Raka will be on your right
