Introduction
Located at a beautiful site within a vineyard, itself located in a sanctuary on Mount Tamborine is the new look Queensland Wine Centre. A wine orientated venue, stocking over 100 wines and promoting vineyards from South Burnett to the Granite Belt, with wines in tank, fortified's in barrel, bottling and labeling an everyday occurance, its only natural that this be considered the Qld wine specialist.
With most people recognising the basics; Shiraz, Merlot, Riesling, Chardonnay, most guests are often surprised at the depth of variety under one roof. Specialized varieties such as Durif, Tempranillo Chambourcin, Mouvedre, Chenin Blanc are awakening the palate of many who visit. Stocking other wines is just one line of operation, the estate vineyard is in full swing and has produced its own line of wines, all located on site and open for tasting.
The Queensland Wine Centre is open 7 days from 10am to 4pm, only an hour from Brisbane and 40 minutes from the Gold Coast. Our boutique facility has been designed to cater for small and large groups of up to 80 guests, we enjoy our larger groups so please call us to make a special booking. All are welcome to pop in and visit anytime.
Under new guidance of a 'young' veteran of the Qld Wine Industry; Mr Mark Thurbon, this venture has a new lease of life. Mark has graced the Queensland wine industry with his passion and knowledge for over 20 years. A former director of Barambah Estate Wines and experienced wine consultant with sound industry knowledge, Mark has been a part of many passionate vintages. In other words, when Mark speaks, anyone who has any nouse will eagerly listen.
