Introduction
Look up the surname "Gatti" and you'll find that it's dealing with cats, as in the plural of cat (gatto = cat in Italian). Knowing that, then "Quattro Gatti" means "four cats". It's amazing how fitting this is because of the fact that a cat is a mystery wrapped in a riddle wrapped in an enigma - you never really know exactly what to expect with a cat... and so it is with Quattro Gatti.
Shhhhhh! Don't tell anybody this but you can either pack your bags and go to Italy (not Italy, TX) or go to QG. The owner, cooks, and most of the wait staff are Italian (which, among other things, means that they have personalities and opinions) and all of the staff are warm and friendly. Did I mention they have food? To begin with, they have the best pizza in town. The funghi with truffle oil and the quattro formaggi (4 cheese with Blue cheese) are outstanding. The regular pizzaiola is a magician and the owner, Gian Franco, is his back up. The last pizza I had pizza there was delivered to the table by Gian Franco and he announced that it was "perfect." It was. All of the pasta is made there and the specials usually knocka you socks off. The wine list is well selected and not too pricey. Trust Micheala's recommendations. This place does no marketing and is not interested in the masses. They want to see you and a few of your close friends on a regular basis. Don't disappoint them. They won't disappoint you.
