About Us
Proteco UK is the trading name of Screwjack Ltd, the UK importer for Proteco S.r.l.
Proteco S.r.l have been designing and manufacturing gate automation systems since 1971 from their factory and headquarters in Castagnito, North West Italy.
Proteco S.r.l. have always had reliability and safety at the forefront of our process, and this is reflected in the build quality of their motors.
Quality and Precision
Proteco insist on high performance and sturdy materials, using die-cast aluminium, stainless steel, bronze and steel internal parts. This ensures their products exhibit longer operational lifetimes and improved performance.
Made in Italy
All Proteco's components are made and assembled in their factory in Italy where they can ensure the highest quality control and engineering precision.
Proteco have a strong engineering tradition and provenance locally, and they take great pride in the fact that they do not outsource or use cheap, less reliable materials. Thier motors are the embodiment of their pride, skill, passion and engineering know how. We believe once you use their motors you will agree with this too!

Proteco offer a range of automation products including gate automation, parking barriers, roller shutter and garage door automation.
Gate Automation
Proteco's chief offering is gate automation systems for swing gates and sliding gates. They offer a variety of motors types (standard rams, linear rams, articulated arms, underground, wheeled and sliding – both toothed and chain driven models). They have two product ranges aimed at different users:-
Proteco Professional – for professional installers
myGate – for DIY installation by end user
We also offer other automation solutions with systems for the following:-
Garage door automation
Roller shutter automation
Parking barrier automation
Certification & Compliance
Proteco products all conform to the European Commission Directive 2006/42/EC on machinery and hold the relevant EN certificates applicable for their applications.
