This experience includes musculoskeletal outpatients, Orthopaedics, community and neurological stroke rehabilitation. Since qualifying Lisa has obtained extensive experience in Private practice, working with neurological conditions, acquired brain injury, intellectual disability, and residential care. She has continued her professional development by completing modules in Orthopaedic Medicine, Dry Needling, and Bobath neurological therapy. In particular Lisa has a keen interest in myofascial treatment (connective tissue surrounding and associated with muscle tissue) pain and dysfunction. Lisa comes from a strong GAA background having represented her native club and county. She currently plays her football with Clann Mhuire (Naul) Ladies and provides Physiotherapy for Clann Mhuire Men's Intermediate team. Physiotherapy is a clinical health science and profession that aims to diagnose, rehabilitate and improve people with movement disorders by using evidence-based, natural methods such as exercise, motivation, adapted equipment, education and advocacy.
A Physiotherapist must under-go the following to become a “Chartered Physiotherapist”:

Complete a Bachelor of Science in Physiotherapy (BSc Physio) degree from an accredited Physiotherapy program.
Spend over 1,000 hours in hospitals whilst studying of the Bachelor of Science in Physiotherapy (BSc Physio)
Acquire licence and insurance from the Irish Society of Chartered Physiotherapists (ISCP)
Become a member of the Irish Society of Chartered Physiotherapists (MISCP)
