Founded in 1997, Phoenix City Grille is located on 16th Street at Bethany Home Road in the heart of Phoenix, a city of new ideas, long-standing traditions, and distinctive neighborhoods.
A unique dining destination within the Madison neighborhood, Phoenix City Grille offers a comfortable yet contemporary. old-town tavern ambience where the focus is on consistently providing a high quality, delicious dining experience, complete with great friendly service and reasonable prices.
The dining areas feature a beautiful gallery of artwork that celebrates Phoenix and Arizona history. Twelve black and white reproductions of hand-picked family photographs from the Phoenix Museum of History portray typical shots of daily life in Phoenix around the turn of the century. Seven color photographs taken by LeRoy DeJolie (a native Navajo photographer featured in and published by Arizona Highways magazine) were added later, each of which showcase a point of historical and spiritual significance with an individualized caption. In the reception area, diners will notice a framed photo showing Phoenix 'then' and 'now,' given to the restaurant by former Governor Rose Mofford.
