The family behind Pho Thaison has recently opened a new location in the growing Southpark Meadows Shopping Center. As with virtually all things in the rolling, green hills of Austin, TX, the restaurant is a hidden gem tucked away in the strip. Paintings of the Vietnamese culture grace the walls while beautiful fish swim away in the aquarium. Iced Vietnamese coffee is strong while Tofu Xao Tuong Xa Ot is healthy with its broccoli, bamboo shoots, onions, jalapeños, and spicy lemongrass sauce. Leave a penny as an offering to the small Buddha by the cash register for an enlightened blessing.
