Phyllicia M. Hatton, President
Reverend Phyllicia M. Hatton, M. Div., is the President of Phenomenal Productions LLC, a conference and meeting management business established in 1999. For more than twenty years, Ms. Hatton has held management and leadership positions in the creative and business arenas. Her degrees in Micro-environmental Studies and Design combined with Divinity has availed Phyllicia the occasion to incorporate her education that hone her proficiencies in the areas of nutrition, human relations, design, and the arts; supporting her professional foundation.
Her recent productions include the coordination and management of artisan marketplaces and local farmers markets. These opportunities are geared to bring small businesses, vendors to share and sell products on behalf of the general public. She has spent several years forming sound alliances with a variety of sole proprietors across the country that travel from city to city selling their wares at seasonal events. The marketplaces are regularly held in concert with music festivals like Capital Jazz Fest and at merchant settings such as National Harbor in Maryland.
Additional claims to fame include her footprints working at Savior Faire, Inc., The Greater Washington Board of Trade, Leadership Greater Washington, Inc., and for the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority. Phyllicia was successful managing and coordinating numerous educational, community awareness and leadership programs, conferences, and special events for these organizations and was responsible for creating and administering training and workforce development programs. In addition, Rev. Hatton has incorporated her leadership proficiency on behalf of organizations representing non-profit associations, corporations, faith and community-based organizations, churches, and other public/private entities across the United States, the Caribbean, and Mexico.
Further to her credit, Phyllicia has coordinated and implemented several multi-day conferences for clients like the Black Entertainment and Sports Lawyers Association, Inc., and has supported other organizations such as PrimeVest Financial Services, Hargrove, Inc. and more. In 2002, Phyllicia worked closely with Reverend Delores Carpenter in the production of a one day conference, “Women Developing Spiritual Communities,†for women serving people in the ministry, and is the creator and facilitator of “Party for a Purpose,†a workshop geared toward young adults entering the workforce. The session was designed to demonstrate how youth and young adults could offer significant contributions through volunteer efforts and by empowering others to support people within our communities. This workshop was implemented on behalf of the Youth 2 Leaders Summit for the Tavis Smiley Foundation in Washington, DC. She is a native Washingtonian, and an alumna of Howard University earning a Bachelor of Science degree. In May 2004, Minister Hatton received a Master of Divinity degree from Howard University School of Divinity. Minister Hatton is a recipient of the Samuel Lucius Gandy Award for academic achievement, and in May 2003 she was awarded the D.C. King Award for her devotion to learning, love of the ministry of the church, and for exerting effort toward improving her effectiveness in the proclamation of the Gospel.
She is an honorary/lifetime member of Leadership Greater Washington, Inc. and her company, Phenomenal Productions LLC is certified as a woman owned business with the Small Business Administration. Hannah’s Grace, Inc., a faith-based ministry holds membership with the Christian Meetings and Conventions Association and is a member of the Religious Conference Management Association.
