Jeffrey Bibbs, Ph.D.
CEO/CSO
Dr. Bibbs is co-founder and CEO of Pharmatek. He has a broad background in preclinical drug development, medicinal chemistry and physical organic chemistry. Dr. Bibbs is an instructor at University of California , San Diego Extension, teaching classes in Drug Development and Formulation Development. He is also a co-founder of Diakron Pharmaceuticals, a pharmaceutical company focused on cardiovascular disease. Dr. Bibbs earned his Ph.D. from the University of Kansas and was a postdoctoral fellow at Texas A&M and The Scripps Research Institute. He worked in medicinal chemistry and drug development for 10 years at Amylin Pharmaceuticals prior to founding Pharmatek.
Timothy Scott
President
Mr. Scott is co-founder and President of Pharmatek Laboratories, Inc. Mr. Scott also serves on the boards of a number of pharmaceutical startup companies, including Orphagen Pharmaceuticals, Zacharon Pharmaceuticals and Synervate Pharmaceuticals. Mr. Scott is a member of the board of BIOCOM, a non-profit organization supporting the needs of the bio/pharma companies in Southern California. In the community, Mr. Scott serves as a trustee for the La Jolla Playhouse, a Tony-award winning regional theatre in La Jolla, California. He is immediate past-president president of La Jolla Youth Baseball and serves as a trustee for La Jolla Youth, Inc., a non-profit that develops facilities for youth sports. Mr. Scott founded and chairs the Pharmatek Foundation, a non-profit organization that encourages and supports sponsored volunteerism of Pharmatek employees and others in the San Diego community. Mr. Scott earned his B.A. in Biochemistry from the University of California, San Diego. He earned his J.D. from the University of San Diego and is a member of the California Bar.
