Introduction
I was born in the Ottawa Valley, on the Mississippi River. The library in that little town had about six, large , beautiful oil paintings of some peaceful landscapes, above the book shelves. My Mother was an avid reader and so we visited it often. I studied them over and over wondering how they were made . I was only seven or eight years old, but very impressed with these pictures. I decided then and there I wanted to learn how to do that.
