Introduction
Pastabilities became a downtown Syracuse restaurant mainstay in 1982, a time when restaurant in the city's business district were disappearing almost as quickly as the 30,000 downtown workers were leaving each night for their commute to the suburbs. The owners used their noodles to help stem that tide by creating a niche eatery that immediately appealed to the busy lunch crowd. It soon became a popular beginning for people meeting in the city for a night on the town.
