Palace on Wheels Luxury Train

Palace on Wheels is the first Indian luxury train launched by Rajasthan Tourism and Development Corporation (RTDC) in association with the Indian Railways. The luxury tourist train chugged on its maiden voyage on 26th January, 1982. Over the span of 30 years, the luxury train has achieved unprecedented popularity among the lucrative foreign tourist segment. The fact that in the last session (2011-2012) a total of 2833 NRI’s and foreign passengers travelled on board Palace on Wheels proves the aforementioned statement.
