Most people take good care of their Oriental rugs and carpets, so they may not think that having them deep cleaned is important. With regular vacuuming and general care, they can look nice and last for many years. The manufacturers of these floor coverings, however, recommend that they get deep cleaned every 12-18 months to keep them looking and smelling their best. This is because over time, dirt and other things can get pressed down deep into the fibers of the carpet or rug. This will cause damage to these fibers over time, which can cause it to look worn and eventually damaged.
