Introduction
WHAT IS REIKI ?
REIKI IS A GENTLE JAPANESE HEALING TECHNIQUE
IT ASSISTS THE BODY'S NATURAL HEALING OF THE MIND, BODY & SPIRIT
It is an honor for Nottinghamshire Reiki & Meditation to be able to teach Usui Reiki Ryoho, a traditional Japanese method of Reiki.
Reiki teacher and author Richard Pietkiewicz and his team teach a non-Western style of Reiki that seeks to get back to the very origin of the teachings of Usui Mikao.
These earlier teachings see the system not only as a practical practice but also as one which focuses on the spiritual path of a student.
Why we study the Japanese (eastern style) of Reiki called Usui Reiki Ryoho :
Reiki is a Japanese word that is used by Mikao Usui Sensei to describe the nature of his consciousness at Kyoto Mount Kurama after 21 days of thorough meditation and fasting in 1922.
One of the two kanjai which comprise the word Reiki, Rei, is "a spiritual entity," the soul, is the infinite power, the invisible, wonderful power or its source "whereas ki refers to" something unseen; atmosphere; the power of the universe. "Therefore, it could be said that Usui Sensei had an infinite spiritual experience on Mount Kurama, a cosmic consciousness experience. Reiki can then be defined as the vibration of our true nature and the ocean of unity underpinning every manifestation from awareness to energy, matter, atoms, galaxies, life....
The sudden light of Usui Sensei was accompanied by the realization that the natural ability to heal oneself and others was awakened in him.
Reiki Has It's Roots in Japan
We aspire to retain its first form Nottinghamshire which is accompanied by the steps of an original Japanese Reiki, providing a deeply calming and spiritual experience.
