The main purpose of proprietors Garth and Jana Bedford is to provide its clientele with a high standard of freshly prepared food that can be enjoyed in an intimate and relaxed environment. The menus at Mulberrys are specifically designed around seasonal produce and so a starter could very well be a delicious West Country pork terrine with stewed Bramley apples or a smoked haddock fillet with a mature cheddar sauce. Popular main courses comprise grilled beef 'boerewors' a spicy South African farmer's sausage served with creamed mash and a red wine gravy, as well as a wide range of steaks such as fillet, rib-eye, rump, sirloin and T-bone fresh from a sizzling hot grill. A fine dessert to round off the meal might be a fabulous coffee crème brûlée with chocolate and walnut biscotti or perhaps an upside down lemon cheesecake.
