Designed in London England and hand made by a team of Master Craftsmen, our collection of luxury Patchwork Cowhide Rugs are fabricated with 100% recycled hides. Unlike other vendors who buy in full leather hides, MOSAIC only use recycled hides from off-cuts of the luxury furniture and leather goods Industry. Each year, huge quantities of high quality cow hide is wasted by high-end manufactures of bags, clothing and furniture, who usually only require a particular portion of the hide to meet their strict design needs. What is left over is seen as “waste” to them, but in the right hands can become a masterpiece. We purchase this “waste product” which is then carefully sorted into over 80 variants of colour, shade and texture. Each rug is individually hand crafted to the scale of the pattern and assembled on specially developed trays enabling our customers to take advantage of our unique proofing service, allowing you to view and make alterations to the rug before it is finalized.
