Introduction
Medicplas Enterprise commenced business operation as a sole proprietorship in 1982 involved mainly in the trading of plastic packaging products, plastic containers, plastic medicine bottles, plastic boxes, Jerrycans, and plastic pill containers. These plastic products were supplied mainly to the medical and pharmaceutical industries.
To cater for business expansion, Medicplas Industries Sdn Bhd was incorporated on 27th May, 1987 as a private limited company. During this period, the company commenced manufacturing its own plastic container products and its original factory was located at 20A-21A, Jalan Kangkong, 4½ Miles, Off Jalan Kuchai Lama, Kuala Lumpur.
In January, 1996 the company had setup a larger factory, located at No.1, Jalan Teras 2, Kawasan Industri Teras, Balakong, Selangor. With a new plant, new machineries, and additional facilities, the company is well placed to increase its production potential. The company has grown substantially since 1982; widely recognised as the market leader and pioneers in pharmaceutical plastic packaging.
The company has also diversified to cover a wide range of plastic container products. In addition to its core business of pharmaceutical plastic packaging, its principal activity at present also covers those in the chemicals, agro-chemicals, lubricants and fast-moving-consumer industries.
Currently, Medicplas Industries has grown leaps and bounds from its humble beginnings to produce a diverse range of plastic containers for all types of uses. Today, the company manufactures plastic containers for pharmaceutical, chemicals, agro-chemicals, lubricants, edible oil and food packaging services within an 88,000 square ft factory. We have also been awarded the prestigious IS0 9001:2000 and ISO 22000:2005 with Clean-Room facilities to cater for pharmaceutical and food packaging.
Coming from a pharmaceutical and chemical packaging background, we understand the importance and value of producing high quality plastic container products with total quality management. We have carried on this philosophy with our diverse range of plastic products today and this goes hand in hand with our team motto of “Quality Comes Firstâ€.
