Introduction
Mao Tai, named after the celebratory Szechuan liquor, opens the Mao Bar & Restaurant which echoes the established style of Mao Tai. The ethos is comfortable design and food which spans South East Asia, with an emphasis on China.
With a kitchen plucked straight from Hong Kong the overall mood at Mao Tai is relaxed and chic from dim sum, tempura, and crispy duck to regional curries & fresh fish. The menu covers Asia from Thailand to Japan via Malaysia & China. All time favorites such as tuna spring roll with ginger & coriander, scallop ceviche, asparagus & sweet potato tempura, creamy rock shrimp togarashi, crispy beef shreds, crab tempura salad, sea bass with ginger & spring onions and aromatic duck are readily available. Specialist ingredients are imported weekly from Asia and freshness and flavor are crucial to the menus diverse appeal.
With an extensive wine and cocktail list and a large selection of Organic Saki's, Shochu and Martinis served straight up or tall the Mao Bar is a stylish place to be. With an extensive choice of dim sum served at the bar there need never be a reason to leave that Mojito on its own.
