Introduction
Masai Eco Lodge is set within a 123 acre certified organic farm in the picturesque Kajiado County of the amazing Rift Valley of Kenya. The ecotourist cum agritourist lodge is100kms south of Nairobi and 18 Kms from Kajiado town along the new Arusha-Nairobi Highway. The lodge has 360 degree alluring panorama with unsurpassed view of breathtaking landscape and a backdrop of Mt. Kilimanjaro.
There are rustically furnished chattels, cottages and manyattas (Maasai igloo type huts) for unique accommodation. There is a camping site with all ablutions. The lodge has well manicured events grounds for personal, group or corporate activities. Some of the activities at the lodge are team-building, meetings, seminars, workshops, wedding, bird-watching, hills climbing, detoxing, cycling, trekking, site-seeing and a host of artistic and cultural activities. The lodge is the only one in East Africa with artists-in-residence facilities.
The lodge does water harvesting, recycling and uses biogas and other renewable energy like solar for fuel and lighting. There is no TV or Radio only natural sounds and those made by cowbells and singing creatures such as insects, birds, human beings etc.
