Janet & Daniel welcome you to stay at their typical Béarnaise house just outside the small village of Bérenx in Aquitaine, south-west France (between Orthez & Salies-de-Béarn). You will enjoy their light and sunny guest room on the ground floor with direct access to the garden. The room has a large comfortable bed, en-suite shower room and private living corner. The accommodation offers WIFI, tea & coffee making facilities, secured parking space and use of garden. Bérenx is 45 minutes from both Pau and Biarritz airports, with good road & rail links.
The Béarn region has so much beautiful countryside to explore, places of interest to see and sporting activities to do. The area is perfect for walking, cycling & fishing. Aquitaine is renowned for its beaches which are perfect for family and surfers alike. Nearby places to visit: Orthez (10 km), Salies-de-Béarn – Thermal Spa centre - Golf (6 km), Biarritz – Atlantic Ocean - Surfing (75 km), Pau (67 km) and Bayonne (64 km) and Spain just 100 km away.

We fell in love with Maison Broustiquet when we came here on holiday in 2011. There is so much history attached to it and while searching for more information on Internet I discovered that the name BROUSTIQUET comes from the locality and the people who lived here in the 1700s took the name as a second surname. But the strangest thing is that their Christian names were Jeanne and Daniel (ours are Janet and Daniel)!! Perhaps it was meant to be.
