La Penca Azul

For over 25 years, the Guzman family has been serving up delicious Mexican food and margaritas to happy customers in Alameda. When we changed our name from La Pinata to La Penca Azul last fall, we were not certain how our customers would feel. But now we know! La Penca Azul has been chosen the 1st place winner of the 2011 San Francisco BayList for Best Mexican food in the Bay Area! Thank you all for your loyal patronage and for the many good times that we have shared together. We are honored by this award and pledge to continue our timely service, authentic fresh food, and of course, our famous margaritas.
We look forward to seeing you soon at our Park Street location and at our newest location on Bay Farm Island. Until then,

La Piñata Alameda is now La Penca Azul.
Ownership remains the same and this change is strictly in name for the Alameda and Bay Farm locations. Please rest assured that the food, management, employees, and quality of service that has made La Piñata an Alameda staple will remain the same and be unaffected.
