Michael started tailoring at the age of 13 in the city of Samarkand, where he served apprenticeships to several leading tailors/designers. at the age of 17, Michael moved to New York, and worked in factories, stores, and cleaners until In 1994, when he began study at the Fashion Institute of Technology(FIT). Michael has designed and crafted high end special occasion clothing and since has been featured in several fashion shows. One of the fashion shows was in Jives Center.
In 1999 Michael started La Moda Custom Tailors, located in Kew Gardens NY, and employs a professional staff of accomplished tailors. La Moda has become one of the largest tailor shops in the area offering a full compliment of tailoring services and alterations.
