Tony Spiritoso originally from the town of Agri in Calabria Italy grew up on a trattoria where his mother made bread and family sold fresh delicatessen meats and cheeses, Tony helped his family and built a passion for artesinal food.

With his background he then moved to the US in 1985 and began to work as a Chef in Brooklyn where he worked in numerous Italian restaurants and delis on 18th street bringing his knowledge and passion for food to the plates of many satisfied customers. After 5 years he then moved to the county of Westchester, NY. where he opened up his first Italian restaurant in Mamaroneck, NY named Tony's Backstreet Cafe' where he continued to deliver amazing plates.

Tony Spiritoso aimed higher and wanted to create what can be called a landmark of Italian food, drinks, fresh pastas and various delicatessen; mixed with an ambiance of Italian art and feel; with that he opened up Spiritoso's Restaurant in Yonkers, NY. in 1994 which to this day is notably respected to be one of the finest restaurants in Westchester County.
