Introduction
Juliet's Garden has come a long way over the last 24 years. Starting as a small tea garden in an idyllic spot, Juliet's has grown and firmly established itself as a popular and highly attractive restaurant, still boasting breathtaking views across the harbour, and indeed, most of the other islands.
Situated just above Porthloo Beach, 15 minutes from Hugh Town, (just below St. Mary's Golf Course), one of the islands' most loved establishments is enjoyed by day visitors, holiday makers and locals alike, many of whom come back time and time again. The restaurant has beautiful, terraced outside seating as well as a large and warm converted barn loft for the cooler days or evening dining.
The daytime menu, served from 10am to 5pm, seven days a week, consists of freshly cooked meats, homemade delights and of course, as much fresh local crab as we can get. You will find a huge selection of freshly prepared salads, sandwiches, rolls, pâtés, light lunches, large platters, soups, and ciabattas.
There is also a delicious selection of homemade cakes and puddings. Cream Teas are of course served throughout the day, and it is hard to imagine a more beautiful spot in which to enjoy one. Juliet’s also has a licensed bar serving a large variety of soft drinks as well as bottled and draught beer and a sophisticated and well thought out selection of wines.
Evening service sees the restaurant take on a slightly more sophisticated approach whilst retaining the relaxed, candle lit atmosphere for which Juliet's is renowned.
The evening menu, whilst varying, will always offer local fish dishes, exciting vegetarian meals such as roasted butternut squash with brie and almonds, and a wide selection of other dishes from steaks and lamb shanks to local lobster (if ordered in advance). We cater for all allergies and dietary requirements if prior notification is given. Booking in the busy months is essential.
