John Powers, DMD is a dental practice that has been in operation since 1981. Dr. John Powers serves restorative dental treatment including same-day crown services, implant, and bridges. Our cosmetic dental services including Invisalign, teeth whitening, and gum lift. Our practice specializes in sleep dental medicine as well, treating patients with a condition such as sleep apnea. Dr. Powers received his dental education from the University of Pennsylvania Dental Medicine. Dr. Powers has served thousands of patients throughout his career.

John Powers
Dentist
Dr. Powers has been practicing dentistry for more than 30 years. After graduating from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, he attended the University Of Pennsylvania School Of Dental Medicine, receiving his dental degree in 1980. After a general practice dental residency, Dr. Powers began practicing in Greenbelt, Maryland in 1981.
He was Chairman of the Dental Department of a Washington, D.C. Area Trauma Hospital for more than a decade. There he was involved in training dental residents that graduated from dental schools across the United States. Currently he is a member of the Deans Faculty at the University of Maryland School of Dentistry.
Dr. Powers is an active member of the American Academy of Oral and Systemic Health, Oral Cancer Foundation, Academy of Laser Dentistry, American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine, American Dental Association, Maryland State Dental Society, Southern Maryland Dental Society, Dental Organization for Conscious Sedation and BiCounty dental study club. He was also voted as a "Best Dentist" by Washingtonian Magazine.
