Introduction
Mr Muzammil Ali has held a life-long passion for quality Indian food. In 1987 he established Jewel in the Crown with the aim of creating a restaurant in the UK serving the exciting tastes of the many regions of India, combined with elegance and authenticity. Our dishes are cooked in a special clay oven using a centuries-old technique brought up to date. This traditional method allows aroma and flavour to be sealed into the dish, attaining a texture that invigorates your taste buds.
The restaurant itself offers a fine dining experience with opulently laid tables and majestic furnishings that conjure up the exotic past of India. Jewel in the Crown assures dedication, commitment and sophistication, offering a unique flare in style and first class service making it a truly special Indian restaurant. From your first contact, Jewel in the Crown will ensure you receive nothing less than the very best a restaurant can offer, together with excellent value for money.
Jewel in the Crown has four suites each catering for 50 covers, making it an ideal venue for business meetings, family get-togethers, Christmas meals, wedding receptions and all other occasions. We can also cater for gourmet dinners at your home, large wedding functions and anything in between, tailoring our services to your requirements and budget.
A new range of services for companies is being introduced, with better facilities for seminars and small conferences, backed up as always by the promise of an excellent meal. Future plans include improved parking facilities for our lunch guests.
