Jenny Linderström

I teach and perform belly dance and dark fusion/gothic belly dance. I have 10 years’ experience of teaching and almost 20 years of the dance itself. I have performed professionally for 15 years.
Belly dance has it's origins in the Middle East, but from movies and migration has spread all over the world. Traditionally it is danced to Arabic music, but different fusion styles have allowed the incorporation of music and moves from many other kinds of dances.
I do a great variety of belly dance with, from heavy beat folk dances and drum solos to dream-like veil dances. I also do different kinds of fusion such as:
- Latin belly, which is belly dance mixed with salsa and Latin American music and moves
- Dark fusion/gothic belly dance which is inspired by horror movies, art deco and modern circus
- Undefined fusion using any music I find fitting, such as Finnish tango, Eurovision, jazz and so on.
