I worked in a number of different areas of law before deciding on a career in criminal defense, but none of them fulfilled the passion that initially drove me to attend law school. It was not until I represented my first criminal defense client that I found my true calling as an attorney. I had finally found a way that I could use my legal knowledge and skills to impact people's lives in a positive way.

I defend clients against a variety of crimes, including drug offenses, sex crimes, violent crimes and drunk driving offenses. My commitment to the success of my clients' cases has earned me the respect of the entire legal community. In 2013, 2014, and 2015, I was named to both the National Trial Lawyers' list of Top 40 Under 40 Attorneys in Minnesota and their Top 100 Trial Attorneys list.

I have seen firsthand how important it is for people accused of a crime, no matter how minor the offense may seem, to have effective defense counsel beside them. Without it, the wheels of justice roll right over them and leave them with a conviction that they probably didn't deserve and that likely could have been avoided.
