I am a chiropractor who has focused half of my 20 year career on cancer patients and their quality of life. Historically, chiropractors have not been a utilized form of therapy for the cancer patient population. However, with integrative oncology emerging as an intriguing and sought out form of treatment as many conventionally based oncology approaches fail patients’ expectations, chiropractic has become a popular choice for patients looking to improve their quality of life while being treated for cancer. The problem is that not all chiropractors are qualified to practice on cancer patients and not all cancer patients are candidates for chiropractic care. Moreover, as necessity is the mother of invention, there are no chiropractor oncology courses in chiropractic universities. This leads to the need for innovation, thinking outside the box and using common sense.

However, the needs of the patient who is fighting for his or her life and the quality of that life outweighs the need for dismissiveness of therapies that can help, like chiropractic. The problem is streemling medical history information to all providers in a seemless manner. Without proper collaboration communication among all care providers accidents can happen. When these medical accidents do occur, typically the patient wants to to assign blame. This is where I can help.
