JL PhysioFit is a purpose-built physiotherapy, sports injury clinic, and Pilates studio based in the heart of Ponteland close to Newcastle upon Tyne.
JL PhysioFit provides physiotherapy services and physio-led Pilates classes all under one roof. Through expert assessment and diagnosis, our chartered physiotherapists give people a clear pathway of what best to do for both short and long-term solutions to their problems.
We will provide you with expert physiotherapy focused on establishing the root cause of your problem as opposed to just treating ‘where it hurts’. Working with you to understand your needs, we guide you through a detailed and thorough assessment and then having identified and understood your problem we then create a specific treatment plan that works just for you.
We offer physio led Pilates classes that run throughout the week. Our Pilates is mat-based and is taught at all levels for all abilities. Classes are held both in-house in our fully equipped studio and online via zoom. Pilates is based on a series of exercises designed to increase strength and improve flexibility, which enables us to move more efficiently and with less pain. We also offer a free Pilates taster session.
Our physioFit rehab programmes are another key service we provide at the clinic and have been designed to help a range of people through a number of different conditions. The 12 session programmes are tailored to the individual and include a combination of hands on treatment in the physio room with one to one training in the studio. This service really ties in with the ethos of the clinic by helping people to learn how to look after their bodies for the long term.
We offer massage, ranging from gentle soothing massage through to deep tissue or sports massage. All massages are delivered by highly experienced physiotherapists. Massages can be helpful for releasing tight muscles; thereby reducing pain and tension.
Alongside physiotherapy, massage and Pilates, we also provide Titleist Performance Institute Certified golf screening. This includes a full-body screen to help golfers of all abilities identify physical restrictions that may be affecting the efficiency of their swing, along with a programme of exercises to address them.
