Introduction
Inunoo’s origin began in May of 1969 as an incorporated company to “profitably market authentic Canadian Eskimo (Inuit) graphic art designs interpreted into commercial textile products, namely apparel and accessoriesâ€. Designs for printed and knitted fabrics were developed by Doug Mantegna for a line of cruise wear, men’s shirting, and scarves. Styling was done by Canadian fashion designer, Pat McDonagh and sold through major Canadian retailers at the time.
