About Us
At Innit we specialize in contemporary steel and vinyl furnishings. We manufacture new and traditional handcrafted designs and export for our wholesale and retail clients. We are also a contract manufacturer for all things vinyl and steel. From chairs, love seats, ottomans, loungers and tables, to magazine racks, baskets, signs, room dividers and lamp bases, if you have a design, we will weld it and weave it.
History
Paul Yacht, the founder and principal of Innit started in design working in Toronto’s film industry as a set decorator. In 2002, a slowed industry gave him the push to move to Puerto Escondido, Mexico to follow a lifelong dream of learning how to surf and living easy on the beach. He opened a small bookstore / surf-shop / bar / cinema on this surf-beach and used chairs similar to these ones as the cinema seating.
The decision to use these retro looking chairs for cinema seating was obvious. They are cool, comfortable, unique and easy to keep clean. After receiving requests from people from all over the world for these chairs he decided to perfect the designs, polish them up and export them to Canada and the USA. Innit was born.
In 2011, Innit moved to north of the Rio Grande and now is manufacturing in Toronto and Los Angeles with offices located in Toronto. The materials used to construct our pieces are now completely of USA and Canadian origin and everything is hand made entirely in the USA and Canada.
All of our pieces are suitable and tested for high-heat and extreme cold
The steel frames are galvanized and then polyester powder-coated to resist rust
The vinyl is phthalate free and treated to resist UV rays
Our Acapulco & Innit chairs are suitable for commercial use and have been tested to conform with standards of the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) and the Business and Institutional Furniture Manufacturers Association (BIFMA)
Just 1-3 week lead time on orders of 20 or less
3 standard finishes available for the frame (black, white, chrome)
11 colors available for the weave – chairs may also be woven in multiple colors.
Our chairs assemble in two pieces and boxed for safe shipping and lower freight rates.
