Inland Telephone-Who We Are
At Inland Telephone we believe a company is the sum of it's relationships. Relationships with suppliers, clients and employees.
Suppliers-Inland Telephone is one of the oldest distributors of Toshiba Business Telephone Systems in the United States. We have been a Toshiba Telecom dealer continously since March, 1981. We chose Toshiba, first and foremost, for it's exceptional reliability. As telephone systems evolved into the converging of technology with data products our choice of Toshiba became even more important. Toshiba's leadership in the data field, combined with it's exceptional reliability in traditional telephone system platforms, resulted in the development of cost effective, inherently reliable, and technologically superior systems.
Clients-When a client purchases a telephone system many vendors consider that the end of the story; for us it's the beginning. The purchase of a telephone system commences a 7 to 10 year relationship between the vendor and the purchaser, because that's the minimum useful lifespan of a good quality, well designed system. There are many clients with whom we have relationships spanning decades. Our longest relationship spans 30 years, and several systems. We hope every potential client will consider the longterm effects of a telephone system purchase, and will want to choose not only the best hardware, but the best service relationship, too. We know that what is best for the client is always in our best interest to provide, and that is what we strive to offer.
Employees-Perhaps the most important component in providing good service is longterm retention of skilled employees. Inland Telephone has employees with decades of service to the company, and our clients, One of whom has been with us for 31 years. A Personnel Director for one of our clients recently asked me how we managed to maintain such a loyal employee base. He stated we couldn't possibly pay that much! I told him it wasn't money, but if he was curious he should ask them. He found they had a work environment they valued. They are part of a relationship, not just performing a job.
